Developed for in-process technologies, Novonesis Fiberex® F1 allows you to boost your corn oil yields. It also gives you the chance to diversify into low-carbon markets through higher fiber-to-ethanol yields.

Product features, details and benefits

  • Boosts corn oil yieldThis product frees corn oil trapped in the fiber matrix. That means you can expand a major revenue stream by extracting more corn oil.

  • Boosts fiber-based ethanol yieldsThis product generates sugars from the fiber matrix, making them available to the yeast. That means you can convert a low-value animal feed into high-value ethanol. In many markets, this low-carbon ethanol has a reduced carbon score, so it can bring even more value to your plant.

  • Maximizes starch-based ethanol yieldsThis product helps you squeeze every last drop of ethanol from your starch-based feedstocks. It breaks down tough fibers to make residual starch available for conversion. That maximizes your starch-based ethanol yields.

  • Reach Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and/or Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS)

With this product, your fiber-based ethanol can reach certain low-carbon standards, which increases the value of your output.

  • Lowest Carbon Intensity of enzyme blendDelivered enzyme is a component of carbon intensity scoring. Reducing the addition of cellulase to the smallest volume will reduce a plants CI score, possibly by 1-2 points.

  • Product applicationThis product utilizes a second enzyme for maximal performance.

  • Suitable for drop-in-processes

This product is designed to enable in-process fiber-to-ethanol conversion.

Fiberex® F1 breaks down tough fibers in the corn to deliver significantly more corn oil. It also delivers additional high-value, low-carbon ethanol. Its a drop-in technology, which means minimal CAPEX investment for your plant.

This product contains enzymes. While enzymes are safe to use in consumer applications, they need correct handling in working environments to ensure workers’ safety.

Indeed, repeated inhalation of enzyme dust or aerosols resulting from improper handling may induce sensitization and may cause allergic type 1 reactions in sensitized individuals.
