Quara® LowP increases yield up to 2% when compared to alkaline refining or acid degumming by selectively targeting removal of phosphorus and metals. That leaves valuable free fatty acids (FFA) and neutral oils for improved oil recovery.
Reduce oil loss and waste handling costs
Maximize bleaching clay reduction, minimize oil losses by absorption, and decrease costs of waste handling and disposal. Quara® LowP yields a byproduct with lower viscosity that contains less oil, which is easier to handle than soap-stock and acid gums. Expect improved profitability of up to US$20 /ton*.

Reduce contaminants, phosphorus, and metals, to as low as 5ppm and 10ppm respectively, prior to the bleaching step.
