Clepius™ L. plantarum
Clepius™ L. plantarum (shortened to Clepius™) was commercialized for its ability to support people with gut sensitivity where the gut-brain axis is in play. The strain has been documented to support gastrointestinal health and alleviate perceived stress related to gut discomfort. Data has shown it to be effective at two dosage levels: one to achieve a high impact at start, and a lower dose for good effect as maintenance.

The Clepius™ strain is L. plantarum Lpla33™ (DSM 34428). It was identified by genetically screening the Novonesis library of strains for characteristics like the ability to support the gut barrier and to support the immune system.
The name Clepius comes from the Greek god of medicine and healing, Asclepius.
Clepius™ is acid and bile stable.
It’s produced in a certified GMP Facility, FSSC22000 certified incl. ISO22000. The Clepius™ logo can be used on packaging subject to agreement. Clepius™ is a trademark of Chr. Hansen A/S, part of Novonesis Group.
This product contains microbials. While microbial products are safe to use in consumer applications, they must be handled correctly in production environments to ensure that workers do not inhale organic dust and bioaerosols.
