L. acidophilus, DDS-1™

As one of the first commercially available probiotics, Lactobacillus acidophilus, DDS-1™ (shortened to DDS-1™) is backed by a multitude of scientific studies supporting digestive and immune health.
DDS-1™ is well-proven and suitable for children and adults. It’s one of the most thoroughly studied acidophilus strains in the industry. The World Gastroenterology Organization lists DDS-1™ in their probiotic and prebiotic guidelines1.

L. acidophilus, DDS-1™ (DSM 34415) was discovered in 1959 at the University of Nebraska, USA. DDS-1 stands for “Department of Dairy Science strain #1.” It was one of the first probiotics used in commercial dietary supplements.
DDS-1™ is acid and bile stable.
It’s produced in a certified GMP Facility, FSSC22000 certified incl. ISO22000.
The DDS-1™ logo can be used on packaging subject to agreement. DDS-1™ is a trademark of Chr. Hansen A/S, part of Novonesis Group.
This product contains microbials. While microbial products are safe to use in consumer applications, they must be handled correctly in production environments to ensure that workers do not inhale organic dust and bioaerosols.
