L. acidophilus, LA-5™
Lactobacillus acidophilus, LA-5™ (shortened to LA-5™), has been used in food and dietary supplements since 1979. It’s been described in more than 150 scientific publications, with more than 80 of them based on data from human studies. Proven effective both alone and in combination with other strains, LA-5™ is a proven probiotic that demonstrates significant health benefits.
The World Gastroenterology Organization’s global guidelines for probiotics and prebiotics includes LA-5™1.

The L. acidophilus, LA-5™ (DSM 13241) strain was isolated from Chr. Hansen’s collection of dairy cultures. It’s been used in food and supplements since 1979.
LA-5™ is acid and bile tolerant.
It’s produced in a certified GMP Facility, FSSC22000 certified incl. ISO22000.
The LA-5™ logo can be used on packaging subject to agreement. LA-5™is a trademark of Chr. Hansen A/S, part of Novonesis Group.
This product contains microbials. While microbial products are safe to use in consumer applications, they must be handled correctly in production environments to ensure that workers do not inhale organic dust and bioaerosols.
