L. rhamnosus, LGG™

Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus, LGG™ (shortened to LGG™) is the world’s most documented probiotic strain, with more than 2,000 scientific publications, including 300 clinical study publications. In fact, the World Gastroenterology Organization’s Global Guidelines for Probiotics and Prebiotics1 lists LGG™ as having documented, positive results in five gut-related health areas. It’s also listed in ESPGHAN’s position paper on gut microbiota and modification recommendations for children2.
With advanced genomic sequencing, we mapped the complete genome of the LGG™ strain. The results show it has remained stable and is identical to the original strain isolated in 19853, 4. It’s been used globally in food and dietary supplements since 1990, with no safety concerns.
LGG™ is the natural choice for functional food and dietary supplement providers who refuse to compromise on quality and probiotic benefits across multiple health areas.
