Astarte™
Astarte™ is a trademarked 4-strain probiotic combination. It contains the four most dominant vaginal Lactobacillus species found in healthy, pregnant women; L. crispatus, L rhamnosus, L. jensenii and L. gasseri1.
Seeding the vaginal microbiome with the Astarte™ combination has been shown to support vaginal comfort and a healthy vaginal microbiome. An in vitro study confirmed the ability of Astarte™ to reduce the growth of some of the most dominant, unwanted microbes found in the vagina2.

The four strains that make up the Astarte™ probiotic combination were screened for survival, growth, and their effectiveness at lowering pH and fighting against unwanted bacteria3.
They are:
- L. crispatus, LVB 88™ (DSM 22566)
- L. gasseri, LBV 150N™, (DSM 22583)
- L. rhamnosus, LBV 96™, (DSM 22560)
- L. jensenii, LBV 116™ (DSM 22567)
The name Astarte™ is the Hellenized form of an ancient Near Eastern goddess for beauty, love and war.
Astarte™ is acid and bile resistant.
It is produced in a certified GMP Facility, FSSC22000 certified incl. ISO22000. The Astarte™ logo can be used on packaging subject to agreement.

This product contains microbials. While microbial products are safe to use in consumer applications, they must be handled correctly in production environments to ensure that workers do not inhale organic dust and bioaerosols.
